Is there in NY anybody willing to change an apartment with us for 2 weeks. We are Finnish family with two children, 13 and 16 years old. We are coming to New York at the beginning of June. Our house in Helsinki or in Juva would be yours at the same time or we could share it some other time.

We are looking for an apartment for exchange or for rent in the beginning of June 2001 for 3-4 weeks preferably on Manhattan. Also locations in convenient distance and commute from Manhattan are of interest. I am Kaisu Luukka, 39 yrs. I teach accounting and finance in the Finnish Business College in Helsinki. My husband, Teemu Luukka, 40 yrs, is sub-editor of Finance and Business pages in Helsingin Sanomat, the biggest newspaper in Scandinavia. We will take with us to New York our daughters, Venla 9 yrs and Siiri 3 yrs. In addition their 16 years old cousin Tanja will accompany us as a nanny. We have lived in Brooklyn and Manhattan altogether 2 years. In 1985-86 Teemu edited the Finnish newspaper New Yorkin Uutiset and I was an assistant to the president in a Finnish company, Pulp Sales Corp. In 1991 I worked for Kansallis-Osake-Pankki and Teemu wrote stories and news to Helsingin Sanomat. This time I will study financial English language in one of the Universities on Manhattan. In Helsinki we would have a 115 m2 house in Tammisalo which is some 7 km east from the very centre of Helsinki. One can commute to city in 15 minutes by bus and subway. We have two bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, comfortable living room and dining room and sauna connected to TV-room where we have a couch which can be converted to double bed. We have a considerably large own yard and three nice beaches in walking distance. Please contact us soonest possible if you would have a housing to offer for us and hopefully also our offer in Helsinki would be of interest to you. If you would have any further questions please contact us soonest: Kaisu ja Teemu Luukka Vanhaväylä 22 D 00830 Helsinki 83 FINLAND tel. 09-759 1737, 040-5454784

Is there anyone in New York who would like to rent or exchange a flat in the beginning of June for 5 to 6 weeks? We are a responsible female doctor and a reliable female psychologist (or was it the other way around?) coming over to study and for holidays. In exchange we can offer a studio (37 m2) and sauna in Helsinki city center. Please contact soonest as possible!
