VAPPU 2000 was the best party I've ever been to. If you are looking to find a drunken Finn, you best bet is Vappu eve. It was so much fun. Everyone was happy and enjoying themselves. My husband presented me with a nice balloon shaped like a bird. Then we walked around the city stepping on broken glass then ended up the evening in a bar meeting people and making friends. The only down part was we stayed out too late and could not get a taxi home. The lines for taxis were amazingly long. We were lucky to find a hotel room. The bed was small and meant for only a single but that was all they had left so we took it. It was still nicer than staying up all night. We just cuddled and went to sleep. This was my first Vappu and it made me really appreciate Helsinki! http://viestit.etusivu.net/old/smile.gif
