Jeanne, welcome to Etusivu! I wish the Australia-forum would be a bit more active than what it has been in the recent times. There are several repeat-visitors from Australia, but they tend to participate in the discussions in the General Topics -forum.
From your bio I understand your mother was born in Finland..? Where in Finland is she from, and how long ago did she move? Many of Etusivu users who live outside of Finland - at least those who actively write on the bulletin board - are 1st generation expatriates (I guess 2nd generation can't be considered "expatriates", just 2nd generation :)). It would be cool to hear from more people who are in one way or another exploring their Finnish roots.
